Volunteering with Brighter Futures

Brighter Futures is looking for volunteers to support us in the following areas:

• Becoming a Trustee (Director) of our new Community Interest Company.
• Becoming a Member of the CIC (See Community Interest Company page).
• Researching opportunities for funding for our organisation.
• Researching diversifying our services into other areas of work.
• Information sharing/publicity.
• Research and Evaluation of our current services.
• Consulting with the public and private sectors.
• Enhancing our partnership working and collaborative approach.
• Consulting with Agencies, Services, Community and Voluntary groups.
• Assisting with Mediation work.
• Assisting with Workshops and Training.
• Administration work.

If you feel that you have the enthusiasm and dedication to support our organisation by sparing some of your time and would like to be considered as a volunteer, we are looking for people like you to support us by way of your time and life experience. In return, we offer to share our experience with you and will support you in whatever way that we can and we will even supply tea and biscuits in the office! We supply travel expenses and we provide a lunch for volunteers where necessary. Please contact us for more information about becoming a volunteer if you feel that you would like to support our organisation and local people in this way. Alternatively, if you feel that you could support us in some other way, we would be delighted to hear from you.

(Some volunteer activities would require that an enhanced Criminal Records Bureaux (CRB) check would need to be completed. We would organise and pay for this).

Brighter Futures has established the CIC Company and we will be able to apply for funding to support our volunteers. We hope to provide some training and maintain the expenses for our volunteers once we have achieved funding for our volunteers.
